OOM: Urquhart and Moist, preparing for a job on the Discworld

Urquhart has a bag of fresh food dangling from his wrist, and his other arm thrown around Moist.

He unlocks the door. His room looks very inviting, tidy, and comfortable.

"Cooking first, or sex first?"

"Difficult choice. Get dinner cooking and then sex," They've made it work before.

"I'll prepare the fish," Urquhart says, "can you dice the vegetables and fruit?"

There are onions, eggplants, mangoes, okras and bell peppers, in addition to the fish. Also, there is couscous, and chick peas.

"Of course, just show me what size you want them."

[scots_wolf]

"About an inch," Urquhart says.

He's turning up the hob -- he got himself a gas one by now -- and starts heating oil in a large heavy pan.

"Any particular order?" He finds a good knife and considers all the vegetables.

"Start with the onions," Urquhart suggests. "Peppers next."

He takes off his jacket and starts cutting,

"Have I missed anything of interest here?"

Urquhart is slicing the fish. "Nothing much," Urquhart says. "Speaking with Yrael about fish recipes was the high point. Oh, and making peach cobbler with Kate Barlow. She is quite personable, when Gene Hunt isn't there."

"I've met her and she is. She'd be useful to have on some types of jobs. What complications does Gene Hunt cause with her?"

Moist didn't even knew they knew each other and that's a worrying thought.

"I think they have some thing going," Urquhart says.

A thing, probably, like they have.

"When he is there, of course, he takes the chance of showing off his terrible lack of politeness."

"I thought she had better taste."

[scots_wolf]

"She has a good taste in food," Urquhart says. "You can't have everything at once."

"True, but its still a shame. I'll be more cautious when I talk to her next."

[scots_wolf]

"Well, caution's never a bad idea," Urquhart says, "but she's not really worse than other people."

"Oh, I'm always cautious. No, I quite like her but you never know what gets said in bed."

[scots_wolf]

"At one stage, I usually stop saying anything coherent," Urquhart grins.

"Me too but its best to not go looking for trouble. Is this the right size?"

[scots_wolf]

"Excellent," Urquhart says. "The oil is hot enough now; just put them in. And yes, caution is always good. Even when in the throes of passion, especially when with a stranger."

He adds the onions, "That adds to the excitement."

[scots_wolf]

"Oh yes," Urquhart says. "If you have amusing company, but of dubious trustworthiness. Sometimes, it is amusing to sleep with somebody who's not exactly a friend."

"It is, I quite enjoy it,"

Moist kisses him and grinds slowly against him before returning to chopping.

"When I got turned female the first time, I slept with Ramon Salazar," Urquhart says. "He wasn't anything near as good as he always claimed."

"I'm not surprised. Good sex requires taking the time to consider what someone else wants, he's not good at that,"

Moist on the other hand spends all his time juggling people's wants and expectations to get things his way.

"No, he's all about what he wants, and pouting and stomping in destructive ways until he gets it," Urquhart says.

He stirs the onions sizzling in the oil, adding salt, and a generous handful of spices.

"Yes, which is rather boring."
