A Spot of Hogswatch Trouble, Pt. 2

The next morning, Urquhart awakes to fine bed-linen and the unique shade of cool bright light that promises a sunny, snowy day outside.

He lifts his head, pulling his long blond hair free from the pillow where it had remained as it was, tangled from last night, while he'd been sleeping.

"And we'll make a profit without having to leave here unless we want to. Though we'll both find out about the ball and I'll be a toady as you do your work below stairs."

"We're sitting snug as bunny rabbits in a nice warm warren," Urquhart says.

"Mm, yes, and be able to leave with no trouble since we haven't done anything to cause trouble."

[scots_wolf]

"No," Urquhart says. "Instead, we plied them with wonderful drink and made the women happy with good baking."

"I'm quite looking forward to it,"

He leans back and rubs against Urquhart with a grin.

Teasing his chest hair, and rubbing his nipples in the process.

"It will be fun," Urquhart murmurs.

This is fun as well.

"Yes, it will,"

Though that can wait a little bit longer as Moist shifts his hands to caress Urquhart's thighs.

Urquhart leans back, and gives himself over to pleasure.

They do have that much time before breakfast, and cook-charming.

The time passes pleasantly and soon Moist is adjusting his dressing gown as he sits in the main room with a book,

"Why don't we see what happens when you order us some breakfast."

Urquhart is dressed in black, but much more simply than last night.

"Will do," he says, and lopes downstairs.

In the kitchen, a cook is slicing bread and smiles at Urquhart when he enters. While they prepare the breakfast for Hamish's young master, they chat about Hogswatch bakery and stollen. By now, the head cook has joined them, and is very interested in the recipe. There has been talk about the very special whisky already. That unknown little valley Hamish and his master are from must be the home of all good food and drink.

Clearly it is and so the breakfast is even nicer and one of the maids says as she wiggles near Urquhart,

"Can sort of see how he might end up spoiled eating all those fine things. Don't you ever want to just make him behave?"

"Oh yes," Urquhart says. "Spank him like the spoiled brat that he is. But perhaps it would be more fun if you did that?"

They all chuckle and giggle at that, and Urquhart puts some butter in a dish.

The cook watches what he's doing and swats one of the maid's behinds,

"Be good and help the good man out. If you've any thoughts about his master, best to ask. You always did like weedy sorts."

Urquhart snickers in earnest at that description, and picks up one of the trays while the maid takes the other one.

"Let's go and feed the weedy one," he says.

She grins at him and looks quite smug at the other maids before following him upstairs,

"So is he the sort that likes women?"

[scots_wolf]

Urquhart snickers again. "More than they like him, I'd say," he says. "He's a spoiled brat. That's never attractive."

He opens the door with an elbow, pushes the door open and holds it open with his foot.

She giggles as they open the door to find Moist relaxing in his dressing down and he looks up and nods,

"Oh good, breakfast. I hope you haven't started selling off things with your gossiping, Hamish."

"No, I haven't," Urquhart says, sighing, and winking at the maid.

Brat.

He puts the try on the table and pours tea.

Moist nods and watches the maid with a clear sense of interest but projecting that he has no idea what to do next.

She wiggles her rear at him as she sets out the meal and grins at Urquhart.

Urquhart pinches her behind and gives Moist an arrogant grin.

So Moist sighs as the maid turns to leave and asks,

"Are you going to the ball, sir?"

Urquhart raises his eyebrow in mock-ignorance, and shrugs at Moist.

"Oh yes, yes, so many guildmasters to meet and I must find a wife,"

He sighs and takes a long drink of tea.

The maid turns around and looks at Moist, then hurries away with the trays to share that juicy bit of gossip with everybody.

The spoiled brat needs a wife! And everybody knows somebody suitable with a daughter.

As soon as the door's shut, Moist chuckles,

"What did you tell them down there?"
