OOM: Saffron, during Demeter's curse
Urquhart is laughing as he opens the door to his room. It's dark outside, and there are lamps in the windows, lights reflected in the shallow pool.
There are a few burning braziers around, with a little sprinkle of incense burning on it and giving up its sweet smell to the room.
Urquhart puts the wine on a low table, and turns to Saffron, with a big grin.

"It's warm," she murmurs. It's nice. Comforting.

This curse he is under gives him an empathy he hadn't had before, and he can feel that Saffron isn't just bright, clever, brilliant, ruthless and sexy, there is also a deeply hidden part of her where she is hurt and lost and oh so angry.
Not different from him, at all.
And she can use the comfort of the braziers and the incense.
He leans in to kiss her.

Sometimes she marvels at how someone who, technically, is supposed to be in his afterlife can be - can feel so alive.
She pulls back eventually, eyes dark and half-lidded in rising satisfaction.

He pulls her close, sharing his warmth, and kisses her mouth.
It feels so wonderful, under the influence of those feelings.

A few months ago, she wouldn't have allowed herself to get this close. Not repetitively, at least.
Now, she welcomes it, and tries not to think about what that means.

All three, even.
Urquhart, even feeling as he does at the moment, under the curse, actively ignores the fact (for example) how wonderfully both Saffron and Moist are 'fox' to his 'wolf', just like the man who had brought him down. As if he was completing something. Or as if they were completing him.
She just feels so right there, just now, fitting snugly as if in a corner made for her. Urquhart bends down to kiss her again.

"Hungry?" she asks.

She glances up at him, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know if I realized how much I needed that."

His hands roam further down her back.
no subject
"Maybe so."
no subject
"How is this?" he asks.
no subject
"Do I look like I'm complaining?"

He dips his head again, all the way down to kiss the tips of her breasts. His hands push down the dress even further.

When the dress slips down, she shimmies a little to give it some more help in the descent.

She smiles up at him.

"They are so stupid," he breathes. "So stupid!"
Not just Gene Hunt.
no subject
(Though she doesn't think of Gene as stupid, merely unenlightened on certain subjects.)
no subject
"Let me show just how much I appreciate you..." he murmurs.

When her calves hit the bed first, she leans back, propping her upper body up on her elbows, watching him with a mischievous look in her eyes.

"Tickles," she explains.
