OOM: Saffron, during Demeter's curse

Urquhart is laughing as he opens the door to his room. It's dark outside, and there are lamps in the windows, lights reflected in the shallow pool.

There are a few burning braziers around, with a little sprinkle of incense burning on it and giving up its sweet smell to the room.

Urquhart puts the wine on a low table, and turns to Saffron, with a big grin.

"There's nothing about you I'd ever complain about," Urquhart says, with great conviction, his hands sliding down her back all the way as the dress slips off her.

"That makes you one of exactly two people I can think of," she teases, her palm gently resting against his cheek.

"Well, we know how to appreciate you properly," Urquhart says, implying that everybody except Moist and himself must be utterly uncultured barbarians.

"Everyone else doesn't know what they're missing."

She smiles up at him.

Urquhart leans down to kiss her again, long and deep.

"They are so stupid," he breathes. "So stupid!"

Not just Gene Hunt.

"I couldn't agree with you more."

(Though she doesn't think of Gene as stupid, merely unenlightened on certain subjects.)

Urquhart runs his hand down he bare skin.

"Let me show just how much I appreciate you..." he murmurs.

"Show me," she whispers, fingers sliding up into his hair, tugging his head back for her to leave a trail of heated kisses along the length of his neck.

Gently, he pushes her back towards the bed.

She goes without hesitation, her dress descending the rest of the way over delicate curves and alabaster skin.

When her calves hit the bed first, she leans back, propping her upper body up on her elbows, watching him with a mischievous look in her eyes.

Urquhart takes off his own shirt so he can feel her skin against his own, then bends over her to kiss her navel.

Her stomach muscles tense slightly, and she resists the urge to flinch away from the light kiss.

"Tickles," she explains.

His hair slides over her bare skin as he kisses his way further down.

There's a little more squirming, but it's replaced by a gasp as she arches back, fingers tangling in the hair at the back of his head.

His lips inch their way further down. She doesn't seem to dislike this, after all...
