OOM: Urquhart and Moist, preparing for a job on the Discworld

Urquhart has a bag of fresh food dangling from his wrist, and his other arm thrown around Moist.

He unlocks the door. His room looks very inviting, tidy, and comfortable.

"Cooking first, or sex first?"

"I'll just borrow one of the Goth's biggest axes and am all set," Urquhart says, grinning as he carries the food over to the table.

"Yes, axes are always scary. Keep well away from drunken dwarves."

Urquhart sits, putting the couscous and the fish curry on the table.

"I don't mean to meddle with drunken dwarves at all," he promises, pouring wine for them both.

"They're easy to avoid just listen for the singing."

"What do they sing?" Urquhart says. "I guess other people on your world sing, too?"

"Mainly about gold. Yes, but once you've heard dwarf singing, its hard to forget it."

"Songs about gold," Urquhart says, dishing out couscous. "Avoid. Got it."

"Yes, they're messy quaffers."

"And I really don't want to be quaffed at messily," Urquhart says, offering Moist the fish curry to help himself.

"I don't think anyone does," Moist sets to eating.

Urquhart takes a sip of wine, then eats a bit of curry.

Everything is quite up to his standard.

It is and Moist enjoys Urquhart's cooking, its always tasty.

After their meal is done, Urquhart leans back, and grins broadly at Moist.

"We should have a bath, get some more rest and relaxation, some actual sleep and an axe," he declares. "And then, we're all set."

"Then off to the edges of Uberwald where you'll be quite frightening,"

Moist shifts his chair over so he can properly kiss Urquhart.

Urquhart kisses him back, pulls him close, the chuckles against his lips.

"The food is quite tasty this way, too," he says.

"Mm, best dessert."

Urquhart kisses him again.

"I'll make Umm Ali another time, then," he chuckles.

"What's in that one?"

"It's a nice hot sweet and spicy bread pudding," Urquhart says. "With raisins in it. Thing is, you can basically bung it in the oven on low and leave it until you're ready to have it. It only gets better."

"That sounds like the perfect thing for a cold winter's night."

"It's also perfect for a cool evening in a desert city," Urquhart says. "It can get quite cold in the desert at night."

He stretches, then pulls Moist close again.

A small voice in the back of his head informs him that he is feeling so completely content right now, other people would lightly call it happiness.

"I'll have to trust you on that. I've never been to a desert myself,"

Moist has missed this though he won't say it aloud. Urquhart is comfortable and a good partner.

"Bath now, while we call somebody to clear this away?" Urquhart suggests.

As not to become too comfortable just cuddling after dinner.

"Yes, then bed and we can leave in the morning."

"That sounds like an excellent plan," Urquhart says, smiling, and then getting up.

So much fun ahead!
