Saffron, after Cubefall

There are just a few candles flickering in Urquhart's room; the rest is darkened and quiet.

He comes in backwards, pulling Saffron with him, and kicks the door shut in a hurry.

He chuckles, his chest moving underneath her.

"Hurt? How that? No, you didn't!"

She can hear his laughter, the low rumble in his chest, and it's just one more reminder of his reassuring presence.

She doesn't even try to fight back her smile.

"Now I think I'm sufficiently exhausted - for a while."

She briefly lifts her head to look at him.

"That might have been one of the best yet."

"Yes!" he says, with a deep contented sigh.

Her lips find another place on his neck to kiss, slow and soft.

"You're something else, baobei."

[scots_wolf]

"Than everybody else?" Urquhart says, amused. "Glad to hear it! So are you, incidentally."

[yosafbridge]

"Of course," she murmurs, gently nipping at his jaw.

"I wouldn't bother with you if you weren't."

[scots_wolf]

Urquhart stretches, then lifts his head a little to kiss her.

She returns the kiss, surprisingly tender in contrast to their earlier roughness, and then finally rolls off him to lay at his side.

"How do you feel now?"

[scots_wolf]

"As if I'd been put through the most pleasant and addictive wringer in the history of laundry?" Urquhart says, with a wry grin.

Beat.

"Or, to put it more prosaically, delightfully boneless."

"You've pinpointed the current state of my body down to the last useless muscle," she murmurs, smiling lazily.

One leg winds up tangled with his as she uses his shoulder as a makeshift pillow.

Urquhart says nothing. He is just very, very relaxed and pleased.

She knows he might not be able to fall asleep, but that doesn't stop her from drifting in and out, dozing lightly.

[scots_wolf]

He doesn't want to sleep. He just wants to relax and have Saffron with him.

He may doze on occasion, though.

After a relaxing hour of this, she stirs, stretching along his side.

"We should eat something," she murmurs, voice quiet. "Or take a bath."

[scots_wolf]

"Yes to both," Urquhart says. "Which first?"

[yosafbridge]

"Food first," she decides, sitting up and winding her arms above her head in a stretch.

"Then bath."

[scots_wolf]

"You look very lovely that way, you know," Urquhart says. "Want anything special, or shall I just get the rats to bring up generic food?"

Of course he won't. He's particular about his food anyway.

[yosafbridge]

"You're biased," she counters, but leans down to kiss him just the same.

"I'll have what you're having."

[scots_wolf]

"Biased in favour of red hair, and a dimpled chin, and, oh, breasts," Urquhart says, looking at her with deep appreciation.

Then, he sits up and picks up his cloak to wrap around himself while he goes and orders.

Wearing a cloak is not naked!

"Well, in that case, I can hardly blame you," she replies, with a quiet giggle.

She slips into his shirt when he orders their food, the fabric long enough to go down to the tops of her thighs, fingers combing through her mussed red curls.

"Being a wolf gave me an appetite for more than one thing," she adds, when he returns.

"Food will be up momentarily," he announced, smirking at her. "My shirt never looked so enticing on me, I'm sure!"

"You'd be surprised," she murmurs.

"Though most of the time I'm usually focused on getting it off you."

[scots_wolf]

"That's not so hard," Urquhart grins, sitting on the divan, cloak still haphazardly wrapped around him.

[yosafbridge]

"Not at all," she teases, sliding her arms around his neck, pulling herself into his lap.

"Maybe you should make it harder."

[scots_wolf]

He moves his legs and arms a little so she can settle on him quite comfortably on him.

"Want to tear it off me in shreds?" he grins.
